Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has initiated different training programme on Drone Technology and 3D Printing for JCOs/ Other Ranks(OR) of the Armed Force (Army/Navy/Air Force).

The primary objective of this program is to offer defense personnel the chance to acquire experience in diverse sectors like 3D printing and Drone technology. This exposure will empower them to augment and excel in their understanding of these domains.

The training program is led by seasoned faculties from various departments and centres of IIT Guwahati, presenting a vast array of prospects for defense personnel to explore as entrepreneurs or in any other technology-related field as a subsequent career post-retirement.

The courses under this Programme are as follows:
I. Certificate course on Drone technology for Defence Forces (JCOs/ORs)
II. Certificate course on 3D Printing Technology for (JCOs/ORs)
III. Certificate course on Solar Power
IV. Certificate course on Electric Vehicle Service Technician
